Jatashankar Dham is located in Pachmarhi
Town. Pachmarhi Town is located in Hoshagabad district of Madhya
Pradesh. To reach Pachmarhi one has to get down at Pipariya railway
station. Pipariya railway station gives you bus and taxi comfortably.You
reach Pachmarhi, enjoying the beautiful valley of Pachmarhi.
Jatashankar Temple is located at a distance in Pachmarhi, you can walk
to this temple on foot.Jatashankar Temple will be at a distance of 2 km
from Pachmarhi Market. Jatashankar temple is not very crowded in the
morning.We stayed at a hotel near Arvind Road in Pachmarhi, from where
the Jatashankar temple would be 2 km away. We got ready for bathing at 7
in the morning and left for the temple, we were going to the temple
through the market area of Pachmarhi, you will get a lot of peace here
in the morning.Pachmarhi Main Road has a lot of parks, Pachmarhi main
road also has Chapati, you will get hot breakfast here in the morning.
Here you will find many items like Poha, Jalebi, Samosa, Alubanda. We
were walking on foot towards Jatashankar temple. You will get to see a
lot of restaurants in Pachmarhi.

temple. You have to park your vehicle here. You have to walk from here.
You will get a paved road to reach the main temple. There are hills on
both sides of the road which will fill your journey with new
excitement.You will get prasad here. If you come from a gypsy, your
gypsy will come here and leave you. You have to walk about 1 to 1.5 km
to the entrance of Jatashankar Temple. But this path is very beautiful
here is the high mountain which looks very picturesque. There is
greenery all around here, the shape of the mountains is very spectacular
, which looks amazing. You will get to see the temple on top of the
mountains, you have to climb the hill to go to these temples. A step is
also made to go to the temple in the hill, but we did not go to these
temples. If you go during the summer season,so you can eat mango here .
There are lots of mango trees on the way here. The morning time here is
very good, because there is no crowd in the morning, you get a good
environment, where you get a lot of peace. Here you get the sound of
bird in the morning which is very sweet. You reach the temple premises
through this road.The Jatashankar Temple is built in a natural way.
There is a natural cave here which is built on a deep moat. To reach the
main temple, you made a staircase. There is a mountain path to reach
the temple,the hills are cut and the steps are made. The place here is
very clean and well maintained. If you start descending the stairs, you
will see a temple near the stairs, where many rabbits will be seen and
there is also a small cave you see a statue of Lord Shiva, You will
come down. On this mountain road you will see a large statue of Lord
Shiva, which is built on a big rock. If you go further down the hill
path, you will see an old woman on a hill, it is very famous.this old
woman sits on a hill and sings hymns. This woman sings Shiva bhajan for
years.
As you proceed further you get to see a
cave in which the idol of Shiva and Parvati is built on a small rock.
After coming down you will see a temple, where the recitation of
Ramayana continues.The recitation of the 24-hour Ramayana continues
here. Here you can sit for some time and there is also a provision of
drinking water. Here you can go ahead by placing your slippers in the
sandal stand.Here you will find the rocks which are very beautiful. The
view of the hill is unique. You will find a lot of monkeys in this
mountainous route, Those who can
snatch things, so stay away from the monkey, you will see the iron
stairs from here. You have to walk down the iron steps from here.
When you come down, you will get to see
the main temple and there is a pool. There is a cave here which is built
naturally. In the cave you will see the lingam of Lord Shiva, inside
the cave there is a statue of Lord Shiva on the rock. If you go in the
morning, you will get to see well, but this crowd increases during the
day.You will also see the water that seeps from the rocks here, it keeps
dripping from the rocks all year round, this water is absolutely pure,
because this water leaks from the rock, you can drink this water. The
mountains located here absorb water during the rainy season and the
water drips from the rocks throughout the year. The water of the Kund is
also clean, but people put rice grains and flowers etc. on it. It is
very cold inside the cave. This is where you feel as if you are in a
room with AC, it is so cold. Here a rock in the pool hangs on another
rock. It is amazing to see here how one rock is maintaining balance over
another rock. You get inner peace by coming here. It is a wonderful
place.

lot of herbal shops near the entrance of Jatashankar temple. Best place
to visit in Pachmarhi. Jatashankar Temple is located near Pachmarhi
market, so it is very easy to reach here. It is an ancient temple of
Lord Shiva located near Pachmarhi.

- The morning view here is very spectacular. It is not crowded in the morning. You can see the cave and Lord Shiva well
